The new (and improved?) root cellar

We've been going back and forth about a root cellar here. We really want one - the question is, when to build it? We've finally settled on building it now! Or at least in the next month or so. It shouldn't take nearly as long as the last one.

We're planning to put glass block windows in the basement eventually so Jeremy ordered a special one for the root cellar with two vents in it. We gathered some plywood and 2x4s and bought a cute door at a building material salvage company.

And it's all piled in the basement, waiting.

Along with piles of onions and carrots and other things.
